| There’s actually a term for this: Sick Building Syndrome (SBS).
It’s when people experience health symptoms linked to time spent in a building, but there isn’t one obvious illness causing it.
Sometimes the building itself is the culprit.
Possible contributors can include:
• Hidden moisture problems
• Poor ventilation
• Long-term water leaks
• HVAC contamination
• Damp building materials
One of the biggest challenges with mold is that it often grows where you can’t see it. We frequently find mold behind walls or under flooring caused by issues like plumbing leaks, roof leaks, window leaks during heavy rain, clogged AC lines, or past flooding.
Sometimes the only signs are musty odors or subtle moisture damage.
If multiple people in the same home or building feel the same symptoms, it’s definitely something worth investigating. |
